About Deena Athans

Deena Athans Deena Athans was born and raised in Montreal Canada and now resides in New Hampshire. She is an artist and freelance photographer as well as a professional studio portrait photographer with over 20 years of experience.
Even though Deena was classically trained as a fine art studio artist, she considers herself to be largely self-taught in that she continues to learn and, most importantly, develop her art and photography.
Deena considers herself an artist who also photographs. As she uses a paint brush or pencil, her camera is an important tool to be used to create and capture works of art.
Deena's style varies from still life and landscape photography to very imaginative creations. Deena believes that the manipulation of any photograph begins with a great image. She likes to add a unique touch to her images, one which obscures the line between painting and photography. All her images will be reworked to add a higher quality creation that is pleasing to the eye.

Deena has been privately commissioned for her work.

Deena signs all her works as 'Ntiva', which is her given name in Greek. It's pronounced the same as Deena.
